| Looking
for a Few Good Consultants TxDOT to Award Design Contracts on I-69 HOUSTON, Today, the Texas Department of Transportation announced 13 engineering contracts related to I-69. The estimated cost to complete all of the environmental studies is $60M. The environmental studies will define right-of-way requirements, address environmental concerns, and establish the preferred alignment. “The planning efforts of TxDOT place the I-69 project in good position for securing funding in the next authorization of TEA-21, in 2004,” says Judge Eckels, Harris County Judge, “This project is not just important to Houston, or Texas, but to the entire nation. It is imperative that we continue to provide transportation infrastructure that meets the needs of local communities, regional commerce, and national and international trade.” For
