Recently, Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari sanctioned the widening as well as the strengthening of the works of NH-334A (Purkaji – Laksar – Haridwar Road section) to two lanes with paved shoulder in Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) mode in the state of Uttar Pradesh with a budget of Rs 227.06 crores. The Minister of Road Transport and Highways, in a series of tweets, recently informed of the sanctioning of three other NH projects in the state. The Union Minister has also sanctioned widening as well as strengthening works of NH-330D (Sitapur to Kurain section) dual carriageway with paved shoulder in EPC mode with a budget of Rs 505 crore, the ministry said road transport and highways.
According to the ministry, the development works of the six-track controlled-access branch line to Haridwar from Delhi – Saharanpur – Dehradun, the economic corridor on hybrid rent mode under the Modi government’s Bharatmala Pariyojana railway project , were sanctioned with a budget of Rs 2,095.21 crores in the states. of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. In addition, the improvement and upgrade works of NH-227A (near Sikriiganj in Barhaiganj) dual carriageway with paved shoulder in EPC mode has been sanctioned with a budget of Rs 403.36 crores, the ministry said. .
Apart from these projects, Gadkari also said that the widening and improvement works to four lanes with paved shoulder from Dillai to Lahorijan of Daboka – Manja Package 7 of NH-29 has been approved in EPC mode with a budget of Rs 204 .10 crore in the state of Assam. In addition, the construction works of three Drass, Kharboo and Kargil realignments between Pandrass – Pashkyum on the two-lane Zozila – Kargil – Leh (NH-1) road under the Vijayak (BRO) project have been approved in EPC mode with a budget of Rs 426.14 crore in the union territory of Ladakh.
